Jeff King started the company during his tenure as Golf Course Superintendent for the City of Wilkes-Barre. While attending training courses for golf course management, Jeff took interest in the insect side of pesticide applications. Jeff decided to start The Pest Rangers in June of 2008. Jeff resigned from his job of nearly 12 years in the golf industry in 2014.
While employed with the City of Wilkes-Barre he managed to build the business, including his first acquisition of Envirosmart Pest Solutions of Hazelton, Pa in 2014. In July of 2015, Jeff acquired Denco Termite and Pest Control of Duryea, Pennsylvania. In July of 2019, Jeff acquired Ajax Environmental Solutions of Dalton, Pennsylvania. In March of 2021, The Pest Rangers opened a new branch office in the Poconos. Jeff knows and understands the unique pest problems clients are challenged with throughout the year.
