Built Through Hard Work and a Fascination With the Science of Pest Control
Founder Jeff King’s path into pest management began while he was working as a golf course superintendent for the City of Wilkes-Barre. During professional training for golf course management, Jeff became increasingly interested in insects and the science behind pesticide applications.
That interest became a business in June 2008, when Jeff founded The Pest Rangers while continuing his full-time career with the city. He spent the following years building the company one customer and one relationship at a time. In 2015, Jeff left his position with the City of Wilkes-Barre to lead The Pest Rangers full-time.
It marked an important turning point: what had started as an entrepreneurial venture was becoming a growing pest control organization with the opportunity to serve communities well beyond its original market.

Envirosmart Pest Solutions
The acquisition of Envirosmart Pest Solutions expands the company’s presence into the Hazleton market and marks the first acquisition in The Pest Rangers’ history.
Denco Termite and Pest Control
The Pest Rangers enters the Scranton market through the acquisition of Denco Termite and Pest Control. That same year, Jeff leaves the City of Wilkes-Barre to lead the company full-time.
Ajax Environmental Solutions
The acquisition of Ajax Environmental Solutions adds greater reach and service density in the Scranton market.
Pocono Branch Opens
The Pest Rangers opens a branch serving the Pocono region, continuing its expansion across Eastern Pennsylvania.
Environmental Services Pest Control
The acquisition of Environmental Services Pest Control opens a major new market in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Allentown Branch Opens
The Pest Rangers opens a branch in Allentown, connecting its Philadelphia-area market with its established service territory in Northeastern Pennsylvania and strengthening coverage across Eastern Pennsylvania.
O.C.E. Pest and Termite Control
The Pest Rangers acquires O.C.E. Pest and Termite Control, a family-owned company with roots dating back to 1976. This milestone extends The Pest Rangers’ service footprint into New Jersey.
JTE Corp
The acquisition of JTE Corp strengthens service density across Bucks and Montgomery counties.
Viper Pest Services
The Pest Rangers expands its presence and customer base in the Lehigh Valley through the acquisition of Viper Pest Services.
